CHAPERON knife No. 8, from the TRADITION LUXE collection made in France by OPINEL.

The Opinel in marquetry: this classic and timeless knife from Opinel is revisited here by the cabinetmaker Bruno Chaperon.

A unique knife, with a mixture of 4 different types of wood that plays on contrasts.

Its blade, with a length of 8.5cm is made of martensitic stainless steel. The hardness of the blade is 55-57 HRC which gives it a very good cutting edge and high resistance to abrasion.

The blade has a poliglace finish: this is a double polishing carried out on the blade in order to obtain a very aesthetic mirror effect.

Its handle is made from 4 woods:

- wenge (Cameroon/Gabon):dark wood with precise and refined grain that will give texture to the handle

- rosawood dos santos (Brazil):tropical wood whose brown, orange, or reddish shades bring character and color

- walnut (France):dense wood with dark tones will give contrast to the entire handle

- ash (France):light and homogeneous wood will bring brightness and will enhance the marquetry work carried out on these knives

The veneer sheets are made of maple or American walnut.

Folding, this closing knife has a VIROBLOC safety ring. This system allows the blade to be locked in the open position for safety during use and possible locking in the closed position for secure transport.

This knife is delivered in a pretty blue box.

Hand washing is essential for this knife. No special maintenance is required.
