What is the best coating for cookware ?
When choosing cookware, the choice of material/coating is crucial to ensure performance, durability and safety. At francecorner.com, we exclusively offer products made in France, which meet the strictest standards in terms of quality and health.
Ceramic coating
Ceramic coating is a natural option, without harmful chemicals. It is ideal for healthy cooking, as it is free of PFOA, PFOS and other toxic substances. In addition, it offers a non-stick and scratch-resistant cooking surface, while being easy to clean. It is therefore an ecological and efficient alternative.
Stainless steel coating
Stainless steel is known for its robustness and durability. Cookware with a stainless steel coating is perfect for even cooking and without transfer of taste or odor. They are resistant to corrosion and high temperatures, making them a preferred choice for professional and amateur cooks. In addition, stainless steel is a 100% recyclable material, in line with our commitment to environmentally friendly products.
Enameled cast iron coating
Enameled cast iron is another great option, combining the benefits of cast iron such as even heat distribution and excellent heat retention, with an enamel coating that prevents rust and makes cleaning easier. This type of coating is ideal for slow cooking and stews.
Copper coating
Copper is known for its exceptional thermal conductivity properties. Copper cookware allows for perfect cooking control, as it heats quickly and reacts instantly to temperature changes. Copper is often combined with a stainless steel or tin interior coating to prevent direct contact of food with the metal. This type of coating is particularly popular with professional chefs for its precision and aesthetics.
Steel coating
Steel is an extremely robust material, often appreciated for its durability and impact resistance. Steel cookware is ideal for high-temperature cooking and searing. Steel provides a cooking surface that naturally becomes non-stick over time and with use. Steel is also 100% recyclable, making it an eco-responsible choice and an exceptional cooking experience.
Cristel Excellis coating
The Excellis non-stick coating, developed by the French brand Cristel and certified PFOA and PFAS free, is a high-quality non-stick coating applied to stainless steel utensils. It is designed to provide exceptional cooking performance. It is specially formulated to resist scratches and abrasion, thus guaranteeing a long service life, even with intensive use.
