The CHASSEUR terrine (with lid) is made in France.
With Chasseur enameled cast iron utensils, preserve all the flavors of your ingredients during cooking.
This terrine will allow you to cook various dishes, cakes, pastries, and terrines, but also to serve them directly at the table.
The interior of this terrine is black enameled, which provides better scratch resistance and makes cleaning easier.
Please note: for the RED color, the interior is "sand" colored.
Cast iron, a carbon-rich iron alloy, is one of the materials that best retains heat, diffuses it slowly, and redistributes it perfectly evenly. Once the cast iron is hot enough, its heat-retaining properties allow you to reduce the heat to a minimum, allowing dishes to simmer gently.
This terrine can be used on all hobs, including induction, as well as in the oven.
It is available in two colors:
- matte black (with black interior)
- red (with sand-colored interior)

CARE:
Season your terrine before first use: clean it with hot water and let it dry. Then, brush the inside with a little vegetable oil. Heat over low heat for a few minutes and wipe off any excess oil.
Wash your terrine under hot water with non-abrasive dish soap and a sponge.
For delicate cleaning, feel free to soak your terrine in hot water.
It can also be washed in the dishwasher.
Dry your terrine thoroughly after washing and make sure it is completely dry before storing. If oxidation does occur, however—it's harmless—apply a little cooking fat to the affected areas.
