OPINEL Corkscrew knife n°10

The n°10 corkscrew is made in France by the Opinel workshops.
Its wick is 10cm long and is made of stainless steel. Its handle is made of varnished beech.
The corkscrew thus has a professional wick of 5 turns, which is integrated into the handle.
You will be able to extract the corks without damaging them.
Practical, the 10cm blade, also in stainless steel, allows you to cut all types of cheese, fruit and charcuterie.
An essential to take everywhere and especially for a picnic. This knife ensures a high quality of cut and a very high resistance to corrosion. The beech wood, used for the manufacture of the handle of the knife, comes from French exploitations. It is a hard and resistant wood. The varnish affixed to the handle will allow you to protect it against humidity and dirt.
The stainless steel used by Opinel to manufacture its blades is a guarantee of resistance and performance. The hardness of the blade is 55-57HRC. Hand washing is recommended for this corkscrew knife. No special interview is required. For more security, Marcel Opinel invented the Virobloc security ring in 1955, cut out of stainless steel. This ring consists of two parts: one fixed, the other sliding. Thus, for more safety in use, the blade can be locked in the open position. For transport security, it can also be locked in the closed position.

Opinel was created in 1890 in the heart of the Savoie, at the foothills of the mountains. Invented by Joseph Opinel, the knife has become a familiar, timeless French classic over 125 years. Originally created for the villagers in the area, the knives were given numbers from 1897 onwards. The crowned hand logo, now found on all Opinel knives, was registered in 1909. In 1955 Marcel Opinel invented the rotating collar (Virobloc) for locking the knives open or closed. Opinel pocket knives are still made in Savoie, still using the craftsmanship the brand has developed over so many years.
