The cook's "ESSENTIALS" LES ESSENTIELS DU CUISINIER set is made in France by the Opinel workshops.
This 4-piece set will accompany you to prepare good meals, every day.
Four small knives are thus to be found in this box:
- a paring knife n°112: a versatile 10cm blade
- a serrated knife n°113: a 10cm micro-toothed blade
- a paring knife n°114: with a 7cm bird's beak blade
- a n°115 peeler: equipped with a small 6cm blade
The blades are made of stainless steel.
7 colors are available:
- PRIMO: a green knife, a red knife, a blue knife and a white knife. Charming wooden handle. The 4 knives are made in France.
- NATURAL: 4 beech wood knives. Only the vegetable knife is made in Portugal, the other 3 are made in France.
- FIFTIES: a mandarin knife, a pepper knife, a lime knife and a pink knife. Only the vegetable knife is made in Portugal, the other 3 are made in France.
- LOFT: a red knife, a gray knife, a wooden knife and a black knife. Only the vegetable knife is made in Portugal, the other 3 are made in France.
- PRIMAVERA: a dark green knife, a green knife, a light green knife and a white knife. Only the vegetable knife is made in Portugal, the other 3 are made in France.
- OLIVIER: 4 beech wood knives. Only the vegetable knife is made in Portugal, the other 3 are made in France.

We advise you to wash these knives by hand to preserve the sharpness of the blades and the beauty of the wood.

Opinel was created in 1890 in the heart of the Savoie, at the foothills of the mountains. Invented by Joseph Opinel, the knife has become a familiar, timeless French classic over 125 years. Originally created for the villagers in the area, the knives were given numbers from 1897 onwards. The crowned hand logo, now found on all Opinel knives, was registered in 1909. In 1955 Marcel Opinel invented the rotating collar (Virobloc) for locking the knives open or closed. Opinel pocket knives are still made in Savoie, still using the craftsmanship the brand has developed over so many years.
