Brushed stainless steel saucepan, made in France by CRISTEL and part of the 1826 Collection.
This collection draws inspiration from Cristel's past creations, notably their very first designs from 1826. Indeed, it was in their factory that the world's first stamped saucepan was produced in that year. 200 years have passed, and Cristel has chosen to pay tribute to this historic product by using its design as the basis for a new collection. Naturally, Cristel has ensured that the 1826 collection benefits from all the expertise and technical advances of our time.
This saucepan features a conical design with a 3-layer thermo-diffuser base (stainless steel, aluminium, stainless steel), which is highly efficient.
This base provides:
- optimal thermal efficiency
- very good and even heat distribution
- healthier cooking without added fat
- retention of utensil temperature during serving.
Thus, as the heat distribution is uniform, you can easily cook with it without adding fats.
The solid stainless steel used is brushed, giving it an even more authentic and traditional touch.
The pouring rim is wide and very effective.
This saucepan is fixed: the flat heat-resistant handle is made of polished solid stainless steel. It is securely riveted.

Cookware manufacturer and France’s number one producer of cookware with removable handles and grips, CRISTEL story began life in France in 1849, when the first French pressed saucepan came out of Fesches-le-Châtel workshop and factory, the first CRISTEL production site. Quickly, the enamel branch gained in importance and the company became the second French industrial enterprise under the Second Empire. But in 1981, the manufacturer closed due to a succession of wars, political and economic transformations. Two years later, in 1983, former employees reopened the factory, first illegally then under a cooperative, and gave it a name: CRISTEL. The brand was born.
