With its elaborate design and optimized weight, this cocotte features a flat lid with a pronounced contour that retains moisture for even cooking and an explosion of flavors thanks to its spikes®. The reliefs on the lid evoke the characteristic shape of the chistera used in the game of Basque pelota.
The matte black enameled interior is scratch-resistant and easy to clean, making it perfect for searing, roasting, and caramelizing food.
Cast iron, a carbon-rich iron alloy, retains heat well, diffuses it slowly, and redistributes it evenly for dishes simmered over low heat.
This casserole dish is suitable for all hobs, including induction, and can be used in the oven (up to 260°C). It can also be placed in the refrigerator before serving to keep food cold (down to -20°C).
