A folding/closing knife that is essential due to its multiple uses.
Its blade, with a length of 10cmm is smooth, making it ideal for effectively cutting sausage, cheese, fruit, cold meats and other foods during an aperitif or picnic.
It is made of martensitic stainless steel. The hardness of the blade is 55-57 HRC which gives it an excellent sharpness and high resistance to abrasion.
Its beech wood handle comes from French forests. It is resistant.
Its 5-turn wick, which is on the handle, is professional and is made of stainless steel. You can thus extract corks without damaging them.
A steel rod allows you to uncap bottles and also to hang it.
Hand washing is recommended for this corkscrew knife. No special maintenance is required.
For greater safety, Marcel Opinel invented the Virobloc safety ring in 1955, cut from stainless steel. This ring consists of two parts: one fixed, the other sliding. Thus, for greater safety during use, the blade can be locked in the open position. For transport safety, it can also be locked in the closed position.
