ADVICES :

• Natural terracotta does not require any particular maintenance. It acquires a patina over time and its appearance changes over the seasons depending on its environment. The gray earth tinted in the mass patinates faster because the base color is darker. It will level out over time.

• If you want to keep the original color of the natural soil and not have a patina, you can treat the inside and outside walls of the pot with a water-repellent product.

• Glazed pottery should be protected from freezing. They have to be brought in in the winter.

• On the red enamel, it sometimes happens that the salts of the earth appear on the surface in the form of small whitish dust. This natural phenomenon will fade over time. You can remove them by cleaning the enamel walls with water containing white vinegar. This cleaning technique is valid for all enamel pots.

• To clean natural pottery, rub with a brush soaked in water and soap, rinse then leave to dry. Glazed pottery should be protected from freezing. They have to be brought in in the winter.
