Stockpot in brushed stainless steel, with glass lid,made in France by CRISTEL and from the 1826 Collection.
This collection is inspired by Cristel's past creations and in particular their first creations, in 1826. It was in fact, in their factory that the first stamped saucepan in the world was released on that date. 200 years have passed and Cristel decided to pay homage to this historic product and start from its design to create a new collection. Of course, Cristel took care to bring to this 1826 collection all the know-how and technical advances of our time.
This Dutch oven has a slightly conical design. This has a 3-layer heat-diffusing base (stainless steel, aluminum, stainless steel), very efficient.
This allows:
- optimal thermal efficiency
- very good and uniform heat distribution
- healthier cooking without adding fat
- preservation of the temperature of the utensil during service.
So, as the heat distribution is uniform, you can easily cook with it, without adding fat.
The solid stainless steel used is brushed, which gives it an even more authentic and traditional touch.
The handles of this stewpan are fixed: the flat heat-resistant handles are made of solid shiny cast stainless steel . It is firmly riveted. The heat is not conducted at the level of the handles on induction hobs and ceramic hobs, to avoid burns. The grip is ergonomic and pleasant. Their finish is polished stainless steel for a very nice contrast with the brushed appearance of the casserole dish.
You can use your Dutch oven on a daily basis, which is compatible and usableon all heat sources, including induction and also in the oven(up to 250°C max, without lid and without grill 220°C max with lid)

The lid, for its part, is also available in 4 sizes, to fit perfectly on the stewpot.
Made of curved glass, this allows it to quickly and evenly distribute heat throughout the utensil. It also retains moisture during cooking to prevent the elements from drying out. Made of tempered glass, it can be used in the oven up to 220°C.
You can clean this Dutch oven and lid in the dishwasher.
