LA CARAFE manufactures the vintage tide clock, typical of the 70s.
Vintage, yet modern, this wall clock will remind you of your childhood memories. The retro design has been preserved, with vintage colors... but trendy!
Ideal for lovers of fishing, sea trips or beach trips, this clock will allow you to plan your activities more easily thanks to the possibility of consulting high or low tide times.
This clock will not allow you to read the time, but only to consult the time remaining before the next tide. Thus, you will find 1 hand, numbers going from 1 to 5 and the inscriptions "high tide" (top) and "low tide" (bottom).
You simply have to set it to the tide times of your port and look at how the needle is placed.
OPERATION:
- If the needle is to the left, in the "time remaining before high tide" part: this means that the tide is rising.
- If the needle is on the number 3 in the right part "time remaining before low tide": this indicates that the tide is falling and that there are 3 hours before low tide.
CLOCK SETTING:
- Consult the tide calendar for your port. It must indicate the water height, coefficient and time of high and low tide.
- Choose a new moon day with a high tidal coefficient, for a more precise setting and to minimize the gap between your clock and the actual state of the tides.
- Note the time of high water
- Adjust your hand ahead of high tide using the dial on the back of the clock.
- When the time comes, simply insert a battery.
COMPOSITION:
The clock is resistant thanks to its high quality PVC glass and its paper frame impregnated with thermoset resin.
The needle is made of black aluminum.
The clock works with one LR6 AA 1.5V battery
